OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated December 8, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective January 17, 2011: (

a) revoke the appointment of Nancy Vanstone as Deputy Minister of Environment; (

b) revoke the appointment of Kim MacNeil as Acting Deputy Minister of Environment; (

c) appoint Sara Jane Snook as Deputy Minister of Environment; (

d) designate Sara Jane Snook as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

e) fix and determine the salary of Sara Jane Snook to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; (

f) direct that Sara Jane Snook shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (

g) designate Sara Jane Snook to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
