OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated May 21, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 4B of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective June 2, 2014: (

a) revoke the appointment of Scott Farmer as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Service Nova Scotia; (

b) appoint Joanne Munroe as Chief Executive Officer of Service Nova Scotia; (

c) designate Joanne Munroe as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

d) fix and determine the salary of Joanne Munroe to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan; and (

e) direct that Joanne Munroe shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier
