OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated January 27, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 672.1 (1), 672.38 and 672.4(1) of
Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, and
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective, February 2, 2021 to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Retired Justice Suzanne Hood of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as member and the Chairperson of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board made by Order in Council 2019-325; (
b) revoke the appointment of Anne Jackman of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board made by Order in Council 2018-335; (
c) appoint Anne Jackman of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as member and Chairperson of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three (3) years commencing February 2, 2021; (
d) determine the remuneration of Anne Jackman to be at the rate of $150.00 per hour, to a maximum of 55 hours per month, for time spent necessarily attending to the duties as the Chairperson and member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board; and (
e) determine that Anne Jackman shall be paid such actual and reasonable travel and other expenses as may be incurred by her in the performance of her duties, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia applicable to civil servants.
