CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Traffic Safety Act (Assented to May 13, 2025) HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title T his Act may be cited as The Traffic Safety Amendment Act, 2025. SS 2004, c T-18.1 amended The Traffic Safety Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended 3(1) Subsection 284(1) is repealed and the following substituted: “

(1) A ny document required by this Act or the regulations to be given or served is, unless otherwise provided for, to be served: (

a) personally; (

b) b y ordinary or registered mail to the last known address of the person being served; or (

c) b y any other prescribed means ”. (2) Subsection 284(2) is amended: (

a) by striking out “or” after clause (a); (

b) by adding “or” after clause (b); and (

c) by adding the following clause after clause (b): “(

c) i f served by any prescribed means, on the prescribed day ”.

Section amended The following clause is added after clause 287(1)(bbbb.9981): “(bbbb.999) f or the purposes of

section 2 84, prescribing other means of service, including: (

i) p rescribing the day on which the document served is deemed to have been received; and (ii) p rescribing service requirements for different provisions of this Act or the regulations”.
