Section of the Act is amended by adding after subsection (1) the following: 2 L’article de la Loi est modifié par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après paragraphe (1) : 20(1.1) The Minister may remit any tax and any associ- ated interest and penalties in any of the following circum- stances: 20(1.1) Le ministre peut remettre un impôt ainsi que les intérêts et les peines pécuniaires y afférents dans les cas suivants : (

a) the bankruptcy of the taxpayer;

a) le contribuable fait faillite; (

b) in the case of the tax imposed under the Real Property Tax Act,

b) s’agissant d’un impôt levé en application de la

Loi sur l’impôt foncier : (

i) the property account number is terminated, (

i) ou bien le numéro de compte des biens est fer- mé, (ii) the Minister purchases the real property at a sale held under

section of that Act, or (ii) ou bien le ministre achète le bien réel à une vente effectuée en vertu de l’article de cette loi, 1 (iii) the real property is assessed in the name of the Province and tax arrears are due and payable on the property; or (iii) ou bien le bien réel est évalué au nom de la province et des arriérés d’impôts sont dus et exigibles sur le bien; (

c) the total amount to be remitted does not exceed $25,000 and the Minister considers it in the public in- terest to do so or considers that hardship or injustice has resulted or is likely to result.

Section of the Act is amended L’article de la Loi est modifié (

a) in subsection (1) by striking out “subsection (2)” and substituting “subsections (2) and (2.1)”;

a) au paragraphe (1), par la suppression de « du paragraphe (2) » et son remplacement par « des para- graphes (2) et (2.1) »; (

b) by adding after subsection (2) the following:

b) par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après le paragra- phe (2) : 23(2.1) The Minister may delete from the assets of the Province any obligation or debt due to or claim by the Province that pertains to any tax and any associated inter- est and penalties in any of the following circumstances: 23(2.1) Le ministre peut radier de l’actif de la province toute obligation envers la province ou toute créance ou réclamation de la province qui se rapporte à un impôt ainsi qu’aux intérêts et aux peines pécuniaires y afférents dans les cas suivants : (

a) the bankruptcy of the taxpayer;
