OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated June 25, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 7 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agriculture and Rural Credit Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Kevin Colvey of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a director of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a term of four (4) years commencing August 3, 2023; (

b) appoint Rod Kennedy of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a director of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a term of four (4) years commencing August 3, 2023; (

c) revoke the designation of Andrew Vermeulen of Canning, Kings County, as Vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board made by Order in Council 2020-256 dated October 1, 2020, and designate Andrew Vermeulen as Chair of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for the remainder of his term commencing August 3, 2023; and (

d) order that Kevin Colvey and Rod Kennedy be remunerated for their services in the amount of $100.00 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as directors on the Board, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service; and (

e) determine that Andrew Vermeulen be remunerated for his service as director and Chair in the amount of $150.00 per day and that he be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties as Chair, provided that any such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of civil service.
