B.C. Reg. 259/2020 , deposited September 20, 2020, under the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [section 26]. Order in Council 565/2020, approved and ordered September 20, 2020.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as

set out in the attached Appendix 1, and

(

b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002,

is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1

Section 1 (1) of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002,

is amended

(

a) by adding the following definition:

"BC child opportunity benefit" means an amount deemed to be an overpayment on account of an individual's liability

for the taxation year determined under

section 13.092 [BC child opportunity benefit] of the Income Tax Act ; , and

(

b) in the definition of "child benefits cheque" by adding the following paragraph:

(

g) the BC child opportunity benefit; .

Section 11 (1) is amended by adding the following paragraph:

(ww.1) a BC child opportunity benefit; .

Section 1 (

a) of

Schedule B is amended by adding the following subparagraph:

(xliv.1) a BC child opportunity benefit; .

Section 6 of

Schedule D is amended by adding the following paragraph:

(rr.1) a BC child opportunity benefit; .

Appendix 2

Section 1 (1) of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities

Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended

(

a) by adding the following definition:
