Provision is made for the enforcement of th ese rights an d duties by means of complaints to the Ministr y of Labour.

The process is an alogous to th e enforcement process under the Em- ployment Stand ards Act, 2000 , and several pr ovisions of that Act are inco rporated by reference into this Act. Em ployment standards officers are authorized to convene meetings, to make orders and to iss ue notices of contravention. Those orders an d notices can be reviewed by the Ontario Labour Relations Board. (See sections 19 to 31 of the Bill.)

Pr ovision is also made for addi- tional consequences to be imposed in connection with particula r classes of contraventions. (See sections 40 to 47 of the Bill.)

Unrelated am endments to th e Employment S tandards Act, 2000 relate to certain enforcement provisions of that Act. Sub-

(See

section 50 of the Bill.)
