Camerons Brook Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 81-781 (June 23, 1974), N.S. Reg. 94/81

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 3rd day of June, A.D., 1981, pursuant to

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the

Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased to:

(

a) constitute all that area of land situate at Camerons Brook, in the County of Queens, owned

by Her Majesty in the right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the

said area of land being described in

Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy

of Crown Lands Records Plan No. E-5-77 marked

Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached

to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

(

b) declare that the park shall be known by the name of “Camerons Brook Provincial Park”.

Schedule “A”

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Camerons Brook, in the

County of Queens, Province of Nova Scotia as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown

Land Records Plan No. E-5-77 attached hereto and being more particularly described as

follows:

Beginning at an iron post placed on the western boundary of public highway No. 8 leading

from Caledonia to Liverpool and situate N 04° 20' 22" W, a distance of 624.20' from Nova

Scotia Control Monument No. 21512;

From thence (by astronomic bearings) N 6° 59' 59" W along the western boundary of Highway

No. 8, 92.87' to a point being the beginning of a curve to the right having a radius of 1,389.30';

Thence northeasterly 376.60' along the western boundary of Highway No. 8 following the arc

of said curve to a point being the end of curve and also being N 0° 46' 01" E, a distance of

375.46' from the last described point;.

Thence N 8° 31' 53" E a distance of 312.80' to a point being the beginning of a curve to the left

having a radius of 540.63';

Thence northwesterly 296.91' along the western boundary of Highway Number 8 following the

arc of said curve to a point being the end of said curve and also being N 7° 12' 07" W, a

distance of 293.20' from the last described point;

Thence N 22° 56' 07" W along the western boundary of Highway No. 8, 81.94' to an iron post

situate N 19° 42' 32" W, a distance of 223.75' from Nova Scotia Control Monument

Number 21510;

Thence S 67° 03' 53" W, 43' more or less to a point being on the eastern boundary of Lands of

Nelson Douglas and also being on the western boundary of Old Highway Number 8;

Thence southwesterly and southerly a distance of 1,184' more or less along the common eastern

boundary of Lands of Nelson Douglas and the western boundary of the Old Highway Number 8

to a point;

Thence N 83° 00' 01" E, 25' more or less to the place of beginning. The said described parcel

of land containing 3.6 acres more or less.
