Statute: Bee Industry Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated May 2, 2007, and pursuant to

Section 17 of

Chapter 3 of the Acts of 2005, the Bee Industry Act, is pleased, effective on and after June 22, 2007, to (

a) repeal the following regulations: (

i) the regulations respecting diseases and pests affecting bees, N.S. Reg. 220/90, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 90-969 dated July 31, 1990, under

Section 6 of

Chapter 3 of the Acts of 1990, the Bee Industry Act; (ii) the regulations respecting contagious diseases among bees, N.S. Reg. 220/90, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 90-969 dated July 31, 1990, under

Section 5 and

Part XIV of

Chapter 6 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agriculture and Marketing Act; and (

b) make new regulations respecting the bee industry in the form set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
