OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and the Minister of Natural Resources dated September 23, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 438 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Special Places Protection Act , is pleased to approve the designation by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, effective on and after November 4, 2025, of: (

a) an ecological site to be known as Gros Nez Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and (

b) an addition to Ashfield Nature Reserve ecological site designation, N.S. Reg. 153/2019, originally designated by the Minister of Environment and approved by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2019-266 dated September 30, 2019, in the form set forth in

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
