OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Chair of Treasury and Policy Board dated May 3, 2002, and pursuant to

Section 52 of

Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, and

Section 19 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective June 1, 2002 to: (

a) appoint Elizabeth D. Cooper, Barrister, of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, a Legislative Counsel; (

b) determine the salary scale of the said Elizabeth D. Cooper to be at the Civil Service scale in force from time to time for Solicitors in the Department of Justice and determine the salary of the said Elizabeth D. Cooper to be at such class and level as is determined from time to time by the Chairman of the Legislature Internal Economy Board; and (

c) direct that the said Legislative Counsel, in carrying out her duties shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
