MINISTRY OF HEALTH

STATUTES CORRECTION REGULATION, 2006

Corrections to Ministry of Health statutes

(1) The following statutes are corrected as set out in the attached Schedule:

(

a) Dentists Act ;

(

b) Health Act ;

(

c) Health Authorities Act ;

(

d) Health Emergency Act ;

(

e) Health Planning Statutes Amendment Act, 2002 ;

(

f) Hospital Act ;

(

g) Hospital District Act .

(

h) Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act , as set out in

section 8 of the attached Schedule.

(2) On the day that the later of

section 10 of the

Health Professions Amendment Act (No. 2), 2003 , S.B.C. 2003, c. 73 and

section 52 of the

Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act , S.B.C. 2003, c. 77, is brought into force, the

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act is corrected as set out in

section 9 of the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Dentists Act

1 Item 6 of the First

Schedule to the Dentists Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 94, is amended by striking out "his ot her" and substituting "his or her".

Health Act

Section 8 (4) of the Health Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 179, is amended by striking out "established under

section 11 of the Environment Management Act " and substituting "continued under

section 93 of the Environmental Management Act ".

Health Authorities Act

Section 21 (2) (

d) of the Health Authorities Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 180, is amended by striking out "sections" and substituting "section".

Health Emergency Act

Section 14 (2) of the Health Emergency Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 182, is amended by renumbering the second paragraph (

c) as paragraph (c.1).

Health Planning Statutes Amendment Act, 2002

Section 6 of the Health Planning Statutes Amendment Act, 2002 , S.B.C. 2002, c. 15, is repealed and the following substituted:

Section 14 (2) is amended

(

a) by repealing paragraphs (

a) and (b), and

(

b) in paragraph (

c) by striking out "rendered, or a licence issued," and substituting "rendered".

Hospital Act

6 Item 20 of the

Schedule to the Hospital Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 200, is amended by striking out "Peach Arch" and substituting "Peace Arch".

Hospital District Act

Section 25 (8) of the Hospital District Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 202, is amended by striking out " Municipal Grants Act (Canada)" and substituting " Payments in Lieu of Taxes Act (Canada)".

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act

Section 1 of the Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 363, is amended in paragraph (g.1) of the definition of "practice of pharmacy" by striking out "Scheduling" and substituting "Schedules".

Section 61 (2) is repealed.
