Currently, Treasury Board's membership is limited t o government ministers. This Bill permits members of the Legislative Assembly other than ministers to be app ointed to Treasury Board.

The chairperson, the vice-chairp erson and a majority of the members of Treasury Board mus t be ministers. Le Conseil du Trésor est le comité de surveillance financière du Conseil exécutif du gouvernement du Manitoba. Actuellement, seuls les ministres peuvent être membres du Conseil du Trésor. Le présent projet de loi permet la nomination de députés à l'Assemblée qui ne sont pas ministres.
