An Act to Amend the Insurance Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, en- acts as follows: 1 The Insurance Act,

chapter I-12 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by adding after subsec- tion 230(2) statutory condition 1(2) the following:

(3) A “material change in risk” does not include the age of a vehicle if the vehicle has a valid certif- icate of inspection under the Motor Vehicle Act. 2 The Act is amended by adding after subsection 230(2) statutory condition the following: 8.1 No contract outside Facility Association cov- erage, shall be refused by an insurer solely on the grounds of the age of a vehicle if the vehicle has a valid certificate of inspection under the Motor V ehi- cle Act. 3

Section 369.1 of the Act is amended by adding after paragraph (

i) in the definition “unfair or de- ceptive acts or practices in the business of insur- ance” the following: PROJET DE LOI Loi modifiant la
