CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Municipal Revenue Sharing Act (No. 2) (Assented to December 22, 1991) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title1 This Act may be cited as The Municipal Revenue Sharing Amendment Act, 1991 . R.S.S. 1978 (Supp.), c.M-32.1 amended The Municipal Revenue Sharing Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section 3.4 repealed

Section 3.4 is repealed. New

section 3.54 The following

section is added before

section 4: Amount of grants payable to municipalities A3.5 Notwithstanding subsection 3(2), grants payable pursuant to subsection 3(1) with respect to the 1991-92 fiscal year are to be paid out of the consolidated fund, but, subject to

section 4, the total amount that may be paid in grants: (

a) to urban municipalities, is the amount determined by multiplying the total amount available for the payment of grants to urban municipalities at the beginning of the 1990-91 fiscal year by 93.2%; (

b) to rural municipalities, is the amount determined by multiplying the total amount available for the payment of grants to rural municipalities at the beginning of the 1990-91 fiscal year by 84.18293%@. Coming into force5 This Act comes into force on the day of assent but is retroactive and is deemed to have been in force on and from April 1, 1991.
