OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated February 21, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 18A of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and

Section 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) order that Kenneth Langille of New Glasgow, Pictou County, continues to exercise jurisdiction as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board to complete an ongoing matter that commenced before his term of office expired (

b) order that Kenneth Langille's jurisdiction ends when the ongoing matter is finally resolved; (

c) fix the remuneration of Kenneth Langille as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board at $150 per meeting; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Kenneth Langille and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
