OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated February 10, 1999, pursuant to

Section 54 of

Chapter 30 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Barristers and Solicitors Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Lee Anne MacLeod-Archer of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, to be a member of the Board of Governors of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of office of one year commencing February 15, 1999, and ending February 14, 2000; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Lee Anne MacLeod-Archer and indemnify her from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
