OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated May 13, 2004, and pursuant to
Section 54 of
Chapter 30 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Barristers and Solicitors Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Jonathan F.L. Davies, Q.C., of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, to be a member of the Board of Governors of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of office of two years commencing on and after June 2, 2004; and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Jonathan F.L. Davies, Q.C., and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his reappointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
