OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated March 5, 2014, and pursuant to Sections 4B, 7 and 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective April 1, 2014: (

a) revoke the appointment of Dan McDougall as Acting Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (

b) revoke the appointment of Jeff Conrad as Associate Deputy Minister of Labour and Advanced Education; (

c) revoke the appointment of Sandra Cascadden as Associate Deputy Minister of the Chief Information Office; (

d) appoint Dan McDougall as Deputy Minister of Municipal Affairs; (

e) appoint Jeff Conrad as Deputy Minister of Internal Services; (

f) appoint Scott Farmer as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Service Nova Scotia; (

g) appoint Sandra Cascadden as Associate Deputy Minister of Internal Services and prescribe that her duties as Associate Deputy Minister shall be responsibility for information management and declare that she may be referred to as the Chief Information Officer; (

h) designate Jeff Conrad, Dan McDougall, Scoff Farmer and Sandra Cascadden as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

i) fix and determine the salary of Jeff Conrad and Dan McDougall to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; (

j) fix and determine the salary of Scott Farmer to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan; (

k) fix and determine the salary of Sandra Cascadden to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and (

I) direct that Jeff Conrad, Dan McDougall, Scott Farmer and Sandra Cascadden shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier.
