Victims of Crime Services Information Regulations

Victims of Crime Services Act

section 15 of the Victims of Crime Services Act,

I make the following regulations.

These regulations may be cited as the Victims of Crime Services Information Regulations

Information about adults

A peace officer shall provide the following information in his or her possession about an adult victim to the Victims of Crime Services Division as soon as possible after obtaining it:

(

a) the victim's name;

(

b) the victim's age;

(

c) the victim's address and telephone number;

(

d) a brief description of the crime alleged to have been committed against the victim;

(

e) the charge, if laid; and

(

f) the victim's relation to the accused.

Information about children

In matters where a charge has been laid, a peace officer shall provide the following information in his or her possession about a child victim to the Victims of Crime Services Division as soon as possible after obtaining it:

(

a) the victim's name;

(

b) the victim's age;

(

c) the victim's parents name or the name of his or her guardian;

(

d) the address and telephone number of the parent or guardian of the victim;

(

e) a brief description of the crime alleged to have been committed against the victim and the charge; and

(

f) the victim's relation to the accused.
