WHEREAS The Northern Affairs Act , C.C.S.M. c. N100, provides in part as follows:

ATTENDU QUE la

Loi sur les Affaires du Nord prévoit notamment ce qui suit :

5(1) Subject to ... other provisions of the Act, in Northern Manitoba except in the incorporated communities, the minister has the powers, rights and privileges that a municipality has within its boundaries and the minister may exercise and perform these powers, rights and privileges.

Sous réserve [...] des autres dispositions de la présente loi, le ministre exerce dans le Nord, à l'exception des communautés constituées, les pouvoirs, les droits et les privilèges que possède une municipalité à l'intérieur de ses limites.

5(5) (W)here the exercise or performance of the powers, rights, privileges or duties ... require the passing of a by-law, ... the minister may make the by-law or the resolution for or on behalf of the residents of Northern Manitoba....

WHEREAS clause 215(1)⁠(

c) of The Municipal Act , C.C.S.M. c M225, provides in part as follows:

ATTENDU QUE l'alinéa 215(1)

c) de la

Loi sur les municipalités, c. M225 de la C.P.L.M. , prévoit notamment ce qui suit :

215(1) [T]he council of a municipality may pass by-laws

c) for closing any highway;

AND

WHEREAS it is considered advisable to close a public lane in Big Island Subdivision at Schist Lake;

ATTENDU QU'il est jugé opportun de fermer un tronçon de route dans la subdivision de Big Island au lac Schist,

NOW THEREFORE, the Minister of Northern Affairs enacts as follows:

le ministre des Affaires du Nord édicte ce qui suit :

1 All that portion of unsurveyed township 66 range 29 west of the principal meridian shown as a public lane adjacent to lots 11 and 12 block 1 plan 33027 Portage la Prairie Land Titles Office is hereby closed.
