B.C. Reg. 151/2023 , deposited June 19, 2023, under the PHARMACY OPERATIONS AND DRUG SCHEDULING ACT [section 22]. Resolution of the Board of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, dated April 20, 2023.

The Board of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia orders that the Drug Schedules Regulation, B.C. Reg. 9/98, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix

Section 1 (2) of the Drug Schedules Regulation, B.C. Reg. 9/98, is repealed and the following substituted:

(2) Each entry is preceded by a code noted as 1, 1A, 2 or 3, in which

Schedule I

1A =

Schedule IA

2 =

Schedule II

3 =

Schedule III.

Section 2 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " Schedules I, IA, II, III and IV " and substituting " Schedules I, IA, II and III ", and

(

b) in subsection (3) by striking out "

Schedule IV (Prescription by Pharmacist): Drugs which may be prescribed by a pharmacist in accordance with guidelines approved by the Council. ".

3 The Schedules are amended

(

a) by striking out the following:

1 Betaine and its salts when sold or recommended for the treatment of homocystinuria

4 Ethinyl estradiol (when used for emergency contraception)

4 Norgestrel (when used for emergency contraception)

4 Progestin (when used for emergency contraception) , and

(

b) by adding the following:

1 Betaine and its salts when sold or recommended for the treatment of homocystinuria V .
