OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated December 19, 2006 and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint James E. Melvin of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as an employer member of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board for a term of four (4) years commencing February 2, 2007; (

b) fix the remuneration for James E. Melvin at $300 per day for attendance at meetings of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board, for attendance at committee meetings and meeting preparation days in addition to reimbursement for reasonable travelling and other expenses incurred in connection with the work of the Board; (

c) reappoint Betty Jean Sutherland of Westville, Pictou County, as an employee member of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board for a term of four (4) years commencing February 27, 2007; (

d) fix the remuneration for Betty Jean Sutherland at $300 per day for attendance at meetings of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board, for attendance at committee meetings and meeting preparation days in addition to reimbursement for reasonable travelling and other expenses incurred in connection with the work of the Board; (

e) in addition to the above-noted remuneration, if any member chairs a committee of the Board of Directors that member will receive an annual honorarium of $2,000.
