Order in Council 1478/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Karina Kowal was appointed a full-time member of the Licence Appeal Tribunal by Order in Council O.C. 1477/2016 dated October 17, 2016;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 2(4) of the Licence Appeal Tribunal Act, 1999 and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006,

Karina Kowal be paid an annual remuneration of $93,050

Further, Karina Kowal shall be eligible for benefits, excluding pension, in accordance with the benefit entitlements of the Senior Management Group of the Ontario Public Service;

Further, Karina Kowal may elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan. If she declines to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan, she shall not be entitled to compensation in lieu of participation in the Plan;

And further, Karina Kowal shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Licence Appeal Tribunal in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
