An Act to amend The Direct Sales Cancellation Act (Assented to , 1967) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Direct Sales Cancellation Act is hereby amended.

Section 2, subs,ection (1) is amended by striking out clause (

a) and by substituting the following: (a) "buyer" means a person who is the buyer or offeror under a. sales contract, and includes an assignee of that person; 3.

Section is amended (

a) as to subsection (3) by adding the word "or" at the end of clause (

e) and by adding the following clause after clause (e) : (

f) to a sales contract (

i) made by a seller, .or (ii) for any goods or services .of a class or kind excluded from the applica tion of this Act pursuant to subsection (4). (

b) by adding the following subsection:

(4) The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make regulations declaring that this Act does not apply to any class or kind of seller or of go.ods or of services. 4.

(1) The statutory notice in the

Schedule is amended (

a) as to paragraphs and by striking out the words "delivered or sent by mail to him," and by subsitut ing the words "received by him, by personal delivery or by mail,", (

b) as to paragraph by striking out the words "para graph or 2" and by substituting the words "paragraph or 3". (2) Subsection (1) does not affect the validity of any sales contract concluded on or before December that contains a statutory notice that complies with th~ form in the

Schedule to The Direct Sales Cancellation Act as it stood before the commencement of this section. 5. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Title: 1967 (15th, 5th) Bill 53,
