OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture dated March 5, 2025, and pursuant to Sections 25, 26 and 27 of
Chapter 25 of the Acts of 1996, the Fisheries and Coastal Resources Act , is pleased to: (
a) appoint Cynthia Brown of Pictou County, as a director of the Nova Scotia Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board for a term of three (3) years commencing April 3, 2025; (
b) reappoint Leah Lewis-McCrea of Halifax Regional Municipality, as a director of the Nova Scotia Fisheries and Aquaculture Loan Board for a term of four (4) years commencing April 27, 2025; and (
c) determine that Cynthia Brown and Leah Lewis-McCrea be remunerated for services as directors in the amount of $100.00 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as directors provided any such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service.
