OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated April 7, 2014, and pursuant to
Section 4 of
Chapter 355 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Primary Forest Products Marketing Act , and
Section 18 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act is pleased to: (
a) appoint Brent Silver, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, who is not engaged in the production, marketing or processing of primary wood products, as a member and Chairman of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
b) appoint Reginald Johnston, Glace Bay, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, who is not engaged in the production, marketing or processing of primary wood products, as a member and Vice-Chairman of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
c) appoint Michael Gillis, Baddeck, Victoria County, who is experienced in the sawmill industry, as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
d) appoint Ronald Surette, Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, who is not engaged in the sawmill industry or the pulp and paper industry, as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
e) appoint Joseph Lord, Kentville, Kings County, who is engaged in the pulp and paper industry, as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
f) appoint Angus Bonnyman, Tatamagouche, Colchester County, who is not engaged in the production, marketing or processing of primary wood products, as a member of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board for a term of two (2) years commencing on May 6, 2014; (
g) order that Brent Silver, Reginald Johnston, Michael Gillis, Ronald Surette, Joseph Lord, and Angus Bonnyman, be remunerated for their services in the amount of $150.00 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred carrying out business on behalf of the Board, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
