OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated December 16, 2010, and pursuant to
Section 5 of
Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1990, the Law Reform Commission Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint the Honourable Justice Kevin Coady of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia for a term of 3 years commencing January 11, 2011; and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the Honourable Justice Kevin Coady and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity.
