OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing dated July 4, 2019, and pursuant to

Section 20 of

Chapter 211 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Housing Act , is pleased, effective April 27, 2020, to: (

a) Transfer funds from the Consolidated Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia in favour of Housing Nova Scotia to a maximum of One Hundred Million Dollars ($100,000,000.00) in Canadian funds for the purpose of funding the Province of Nova Scotia’s current long-term care commitments for the facilities presently known as Kiknu, Mahone Bay Nursing Home, and Villa Acadienne; and, (

b) Provide that statutory capital from paragraph (

c) of OIC 2010-148 be used for the purpose of funding the Province of Nova Scotia’s current long-term care commitments for the facilities presently known as Kiknu, Mahone Bay Nursing Home, and Villa Acadienne.
