OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated November 21, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, as amended by

Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1999,

An Act to Amend

Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation, each for a term of two years commencing December 16, 2008: David R. Campbell, Q.C. of Florence, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; and John A. Macpherson of Marion Bridge, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; (

b) reappoint Rev. Sandra Morrison of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation for a term of two years commencing December 16, 2008; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against David R. Campbell, Q.C., John A. Macpherson, and Rev. Sandra Morrison and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
