OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Agriculture dated March 15, 2007, pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, and pursuant to

Section 59C of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, as amended, and the Recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated March 15, 2007, pursuant to

Section 59C of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, as amended, is pleased to approve the entering into an agreement with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada for the implementation of the Facilitating The Disposal of Specified Risk Materials (SRM) Initiative to assist the Nova Scotia beef processing industry and related animal waste disposal industries to adapt to new regulations of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, substantially in the form set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, subject only to such variations as do not materially change the nature of the agreement and such additional operational agreements and appendices as are necessary to implement the agreement.
