Order in Council 946/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 4(1) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Dr. Karen Chavah Schiff, a legally qualified medical practitioner, be appointed, the earlier of July 31, 2023 or the date this Order in Council is made, as Regional Coroner for that part of the West Region of Ontario comprised of the following geographical areas prescribed under the Territorial Division Act , 2002: Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk, Niagara, and Hamilton, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

And that Order in Council numbered O.C. 488/2017 dated the 1 st day of March, 2017, be revoked on the effective date of this Order in Council.
