OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated October 1, 2003, pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to: (

a) approve the issuance of a lease by the Minister of Natural Resources of a parcel of Crown land, together with access, the exact location and total number of hectares to be determined upon survey, situate at Chester, Lunenburg County, and shown outlined in red on the plan marked

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to the Chester Municipal Heritage Society, a society duly incorporated under the Societies Act, with its registered office at Chester, Lunenburg County, its successors, trustees and permitted assigns, for the purpose of maintaining and operating a museum and tourist bureau; conducting fundraising activities, including selling handcrafts and art, and maintaining an underground sewer pipe and for no other purpose, for a term of five (5) years at the annual rent of twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) per hectare with a minimum annual rent of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) with the right to renew the lease for a further five (5) year term at a rent to be fixed by the Lessor, provided that the Lessee has satisfactorily complied with terms and conditions of the lease; and (

b) authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
