OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated May 31, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and pursuant to

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as PID 15743495, containing an area of 18,492 square feet, more or less, located at or near Albert Bridge, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, more particularly described in

Schedule “A” and shown on

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the conveyance of PID 15743495 to Sheila Reid of Albert Bridge, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, in exchange for a drainage easement on PID 15289671 for the consideration of $1.00; (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the land; and (

d) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
