AN ACT TO AMEND THE IRRIGATION ACT (Assented to , 1990) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Irrigation Act is amended by this Act

Section l(

m) is amended by adding the following at the end of it: "and includes a project that wiU combine an improvement to irrigation services with improvements to wildlife habitat and recreation benefits for Albertans." Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter 1-11 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1980. 2 This will expand the definition of "irrigation works" so as to permit a Board to plan and authorize multi-use projects that will in addition to supplying, carrying or delivering water or obtaining a supply of water will also enhance wildlife and recreation resources in the province.
