B.C. Reg. 169/2019 , deposited July 16, 2019, under the BUSINESS PRACTICES AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT [section 112.15 (1)] and the BUSINESS PRACTICES AND CONSUMER PROTECTION AMENDMENT ACT, 2019 [section 23]. Order in Council 433/2019, approved and ordered July 16, 2019.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice

and consent of the Executive Council, orders that,

(

a) section 9 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Amendment Act, 2019 , S.B.C. 2019, c. 22, is brought into force, and

(

b) effective September 15, 2019, the Government Cheque Cashing Fees Regulation,

B.C. Reg. 127/2018, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 1 of the Government Cheque Cashing Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 127/2018,

is repealed and the following substituted:

Definition

1 In this regulation, "government assistance cheque" means a government cheque that is issued with any of the following printed on its

face:

(a) "BC Employment and Assistance";

(b) "BC Employment and Assistance Imprest Account";

(c) "BC Employment and Assistance Imprest Account — MCFD";

(d) "BC Employment and Assistance Imprest Account — SDPR".
