Statute: Motor Vehicle Act Road Trails Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated April 10, 2025, is pleased, effective on and after May 6, 2025, to: (

a) pursuant to

Section 307 of

Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act , repeal the Snow Vehicles Pilot Project Regulations , N.S. Reg. 220/2023, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2023-351 dated December 12, 2023; and (

b) pursuant to subsection 37(4) of

Chapter 4 of the Acts of 2023, the Road Trails Act , (

i) make regulations respecting snow vehicles in the form set forth in

Schedule "A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, and (ii) make regulations respecting fines for off-highway vehicles in the form set forth in

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
