Statute: Gaelic College Foundation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated September 17, 2012, and pursuant to clause 6(2)(

b) of

Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Margaret M.J. (Margie) Beaton of Mabou, Inverness County as a Governor of the Gaelic College Foundation Board of Governors for a two year term commencing November 6, 2012; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Margaret M.J. (Margie) Beaton and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
