EXPLANATORY NOTES

This Bill would amend the City of Corner Brook Act and the City of Mount Pearl Act by deleting the

provisions of each Act which refer to the duties of various city staff as

outlined in

Schedule B of each Act. The Schedules

are also repealed.

This amendment would also repeal

Schedule C of each Act.

Schedule C describes election forms which became unnecessary

with the enactment of the Municipal

Elections Act, 1991 .

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

CITY OF CORNER BROOK ACT

RSNL1990 cC-15 as

amended

1. Subsections 58(2), 72(2), 77(2), 78(2), 79(2),

80(2) and 81(2) of the City of Corner Brook

Act are repealed.

2. Schedules B and C of the Act are repealed.

CITY OF MOUNT PEARL ACT

RSNL1990 cC-16 as

amended

3. Subsections 58(2), 72(2), 77(2), 78(2), 79(2)

and 80(2) of the City of Mount Pearl Act are

repealed.

4. Schedules B and C of the Act are repealed.
