OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated March 29, 2017, and pursuant to

Section 21 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , is pleased to: (

a) rescind control of access designation made by Order in Council 83-116 dated October 11, 1983, on the following

section of highway in the County of Queens: Highway 103, together with its interchanges, intersections, loops, ramps and new highway connectors, beginning at the point of intersection of the centre line of Highway 103 and the centre line of Trunk 8, and extending along the centre line, in a southwesterly direction, a distance of approximately fourteen and seven-tenths (14.7) kilometres to the centre of the Broad River Bridge; and (

b) designate as a controlled highway the following sections of highway in the County of Queens, as indicated on

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation: (

i) a

section of highway known as Highway 103, including all ramps, loops, interchanges, intersections and new connector roads, starting at the point of intersection of the centerlines of Highway 103 and Trunk 8, in Liverpool, and travelling in a southwesterly direction a distance of approximately 19.4 km, to the centre of the Wagner Brook Bridge in Port Mouton; (ii) a new road in Port Mouton, to be known as the Port Mouton Connector, starting at the intersection of the centerlines of Highway 103 and the Port Mouton Connector, and travelling approximately 500 m in a southeasterly direction to the intersection of the centerlines of the Port Mouton Connector and Trunk 3; (iii) two sections of Trunk 3, the first starting at the intersection of the centerlines of the Port Mouton Connector and Trunk 3 and extending 100 m in a westerly direction, and the second starting at this intersection and extending 100 m in an easterly direction, on Trunk 3; (iv) a new

section of Highway 103, starting at a point 1 km east of the intersection of the centerlines of Highway 103 and Trunk 3 in Port Joli, and travelling in a westerly direction a distance of approximately 4 km, to a point 1 km west of the centre of the Douglas Brook Bridge; and (

v) a

section of Trunk 3, starting at the point of intersection of the centerlines of Highway 103 and Trunk 3 in Port Joli, and travelling in a southerly direction approximately 160 m to the intersection of the centerlines of Trunk 3 and Maple Hill Drive.
