OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated March 6, 2001, pursuant to
Section 61 of
Chapter 208 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Hospitals Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Ian (Tay) Landry of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Review Board for all facilities under the said Act for a one year term commencing November 1, 2000, and ending October 30, 2001; (
b) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Ian (Tay) Landry as a member of the Review Board for all facilities under the Hospitals Act and indemnify him from personal liability provided, however, the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case; (
c) appoint the following persons as members of the Review Board for all facilities under the said Act for a two year term commencing April 1, 2001, and ending March 31, 2003: Francine Vezina of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Janine Kerr of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Debbie Adams of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Stephen Johnson of Hantsport, Hants County (
d) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Francine Vezina, Janine Kerr, Debbie Adams and Stephen Johnson as members of the Review Board for all facilities under the Hospitals Act and indemnify them from personal liability provided, however, that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of the their activities in relation to their appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
