Loi sur l’organisation judiciaire Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et du consentement de l’Assem- blée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick, décrète : 1 Subsection 48(3) of the Judicature Act,

chapter J-2 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed and the follow- ing is substituted: 1 Le paragraphe 48(3) de la

chapitre J-2 des Lois révisées de 1973, est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 48(3) The Minister of Finance shall keep a separate ac- count of the money paid in to the credit of each cause, and shall allow upon all such money as remains on deposit with him or her more than six months interest in accordance with the regulations from the time when such money has been paid to him or her under the provisions of this Act. 48(3) Le ministre des Finances doit tenir une comptabi- lité distincte des sommes versées au crédit de chaque cause et il doit accorder sur toutes les sommes qui demeurent plus de six mois entre ses mains des intérêts conformément aux règlements à partir de la date où le versement lui a été fait en application des dispositions de la présente loi. 2

Section of the Act is amended by adding after subsection (2) the following: 2 L’article de la Loi est modifié par l’adjonction, après le paragraphe (2), de ce qui suit : 73(3) The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations respecting interest for the purposes of subsec- tion 48(3), including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the rate of interest and the manner of calculating interest. 73(3) Le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil peut établir des règlements concernant les intérêts pour l’application du paragraphe 48(3), notamment en ce qui concerne le taux d’intérêt et le mode de calcul de l’intérêt.
