CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Ombudsman Act (Assented to August 24, 1992) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Ombudsman Amendment Act, 1992. R.S.S. 1978, c.O-4 amended The Ombudsman Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended Subsection 3(2) is repealed and the following substituted: A(2) Subject to

section 5, the Lieutenant Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Assembly, shall appoint the Ombudsman@.

Section amended Subsection 7(1) is amended by striking out A54@ and substituting A50@.

Section amended Subsection 11(1) is amended by striking out AWith the prior approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council the@ and substituting AThe@.

Section repealed

Section is repealed.

Section amended 7(1) Subsection 15(1) is amended: (

a) by striking out Amember or@ in clause (a); (

b) in clause (b): (

i) by striking out A, a referee or local master of a court, a magistrate@; and (ii) by striking out A, referee, local master, magistrate@; and (

c) by repealing clauses (c), (

f) and (g). (2) Subsection 15(2) is repealed.

Section amended

Section is amended by striking out A, other than a minister or a person mentioned in clause 15(1)(f),@: (

a) in subsection (1); and (

b) in subsection (2). 1992 OMBUDSMAN c.59 May 5, 1992 - 9:55 a.m. Coming into force This Act comes into force on the day of assent.
