1 In this Order, "annexed land" means the land described in
Schedule 1 and
shown on the sketch in
Schedule 2.
2 Effective January 1, 2017, the land described in
Schedule 1 and shown on the
sketch in
Schedule 2 is separated from the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 and
annexed to The City of Wetaskiwin.
3 Any taxes owing to the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 at the end of
December 31, 2016 in respect of the annexed land and any assessable
improvements to it are transferred to and become payable to The City of
Wetaskiwin together with any lawful penalties and costs levied in respect of those
taxes, and The City of Wetaskiwin upon collecting those taxes, penalties and
costs must pay them to the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10.

ORDER ANNEXING LAND FROM THE
MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF WILLOW CREEK NO. 26
TO THE TOWN OF CLARESHOLM
1 In this Order, "annexed land" means the land described in
Schedule 1 and
shown on the sketch in
Schedule 2.
2 Effective January 1, 2017, the land described in
Schedule 1 and shown on the
sketch in
Schedule 2 is separated from The Municipal District of Willow Creek
No. 26 and annexed to the Town of Claresholm.
3 Any taxes owing to The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 at the
end of December 31, 2016 in respect of the annexed land and any assessable
improvements to it are transferred to and become payable to the Town of
Claresholm together with any lawful penalties and costs levied in respect of those
taxes, and the Town of Claresholm upon collecting those taxes, penalties and
costs must pay them to The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26.
4 For the purpose of taxation in 2017 and in each subsequent year up to and
including 2042, the annexed land and the assessable improvements to it
(
a) must be assessed by the Town of Claresholm on the same basis as it they
had remained in The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26, and
(
b) must be taxed by the Town of Claresholm in respect of each assessment
class that applies to the annexed land and the assessable improvements
to it using the tax rate established by The Municipal District of Willow
Creek No. 26.
5(1) Where, in any taxation year, a portion of the annexed land
(
a) becomes a new parcel of land created as a result of subdivision or
separation of title by registered plan of subdivision or by instrument or
any other method that occurs at the request of, or on behalf of, the
landowner,
(
b) becomes a residual portion of less than 3.45 hectares after a new parcel
referred to in clause (
a) has been created, or
(
c) is redesignated, at the request of or on behalf of the landowner, under
the Town of Claresholm Land Use Bylaw to another designation,
section 4 ceases to apply to that parcel of land and the assessable improvements
to it at the end of that taxation year in respect of that portion of the annexed land.
(2) After
section 4 ceases to apply to a portion of the annexed land in a taxation
year, that portion of the annexed land and the assessable improvements to it must
be assessed and taxed for the purposes of property taxes in the same manner as
other property of the same assessment class in the Town of Claresholm is
assessed and taxed.
6 On or before July 1, 2017, the Town of Claresholm shall pay to The
Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 twenty three thousand eight hundred
ninety three dollars and seventy eight cents ($23 893.78).

Function: Food and Hotel Asia 2016 - Singapore
Date: April 9-17, 2016

Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry led a trade mission for five Alberta companies to
showcase their food products at the Food and Hotel Asia 2016 trade show in
Singapore. Companies participated in market briefing sessions, business to business
meetings, food store and distribution site visits, and a networking reception.

Function: Seoul Food Show 2016
Date: May 6-18, 2016
Amount: $3,232.41
Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry, in cooperation with the Alberta Korea Office, led
five Alberta companies in a trade mission to exhibit and conduct a walking program
at the Seoul Food Show in May 2016. Companies also received market briefings, site
tours and prearranged one-on-one meetings with targeted Korean buyers.

Function: Incoming Middle East/North Africa Mission
Date: May 10-14, 2016

Purpose: Assist Agriculture and Forestry to build and enhance strategic relationships
with international buyers and promote Canada as a cohesive supplier of premium
products. In addition, the visit provided an opportunity to showcase Alberta and its
expertise in the agriculture and food sector.

Function: Incoming Visit by Philippines Meat Importer
Date: June 12-14, 2016
Amount: $871.62
Purpose: The Chief Executive Officer of JEDCO company in the Philippines, a
leading purveyor of fine foods supplying quality imported meat, deli, poultry, seafood
and other food products to hotels, restaurants and retail stores visited Alberta in June
2016 to meet with potential suppliers of beef, pork and bison products.

Function: Canada-Eurasia Agri-Business Forum
Date: June 12-15, 2016

Purpose: The Eurasia Business Forum focused on building strategic relationships
between Canadian and international delegates from both industry and government. It
also provided an opportunity for Agriculture and Forestry to work collaboratively
with other governments and agencies to help increase Albertan and Canadian trade

Function: North GyeongSang Provincial College Incoming Visit

Purpose: A delegation of 25 animal science students and two professors visited from
Korea's North GyeongSang Provincial College to learn about Alberta's cattle and beef
sector. This visit enabled Alberta to showcase its beef production system to young
future leaders and influencers in Korea's beef industry.

Function: Profiling Alberta Pulse Industry - Pulse and Special Crops Convention

Purpose: Canadian Special Crops Convention draws stakeholders in the pulse and

Forestry hosted a networking event with the purpose of profiling Alberta's pulse
sector and facilitating introductions between Alberta's industry and international

Purpose: A delegation of qualified Mexican buyers visited Alberta to participate in
