Order in Council 517/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act, the Minister of Education may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, order the closing of a school or any class thereof for a specified period;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act , the order of the Minister of Education March 12, 2020 requiring that every school as defined in that Act be closed for the period of March 14, 2020, through April 5, 2020, be approved.
