Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing dated October 26, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 6 of

Chapter 301 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Municipal Finance Corporation Act , and subsection 18(1) of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of George MacDonald of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Glace Bay) as a member recommended for appointment by the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities to the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation, made by Order in Council 2019-181 dated June 25, 2019, effective December 16, 2021; and (

b) appoint Eldon MacDonald of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney) as a member recommended for appointment by the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities to the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation for a term commencing December 16, 2021, and ending on June 30, 2024.
