B.C. Reg. 19/2020 , deposited February 7, 2020, under the TENANCY STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT, 2017 [section 62] and the RESIDENTIAL TENANCY ACT [section 97 (2)]. Order in Council 52/2020, approved and ordered February 7, 2020.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective February 18, 2020,

(

a) section 30 of the Tenancy Statutes Amendment Act, 2017 , S.B.C. 2017, c. 18, is brought into force, and

(

b) the Residential Tenancy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 477/2003, is amended as set

out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 3.1 of the Residential Tenancy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 477/2003, is amended

by striking out "

section 2 (

a) to (g) " and substituting "

section 2 (

a) to (h) ".

Section 33 (1) is amended by striking out "

section 94.1 (2) (a) " and substituting "

section 87.3 (2) (a) ".

3 Sections 34 and 35 are amended by striking out "

section 94.1 " and substituting "

section 87.3 ".

Section 37 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out "

section 94.1 (4) " and substituting "

section 87.3 (4) ",

(

b) in subsection (1) (

c) by striking out "

section 94.1 (1) (a) " and substituting "

section 87.3 (1) (a) " and by striking out " order or decision referred to in

section 94.1 (1) (b) " and substituting " decision or order referred to in

section 87.3 (1) (b) ", and

(

c) in subsection (2) by striking out "

section 94.1 " in both places and substituting "

section 87.3 ".
