Statute: Occupational Health and Safety Act Workers' Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated May 16, 2001, pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 7 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1996, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and subsection 269(1) of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-1995, as amended, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to determine: (

a) for the purpose of paying part of the costs of the Occupational Health and Safety Division of the Department of Environment and Labour and its related agencies, boards and commissions for the fiscal year 2000-2001, the sum of $3,712,934.78 shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia from the Accident Fund by the Workers' Compensation Board; (

b) for the purpose of paying all of the costs of the Workers' Advisers Program for the fiscal year 2000-2001, the sum of $1,633,467.27 shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia from the Accident Fund by the Workers' Compensation Board.
