Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration dated October 31, 2023, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 8 of

Chapter C-13 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Act , and

Section 31 of

Chapter I-21 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased, effective on and after November 28, 2023, to: (

a) revoke the nomination of Gary O’Toole of Mount Uniacke, Hants County, for appointment as the governor representing the Province of Nova Scotia to the Council of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety made by Order in Council 2022-134 dated May 10, 2022; and (

b) nominate Scott Nauss of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford), for appointment as the governor representing the Province of Nova Scotia to the Council of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, for a term not exceeding four (4) years.
